Custom Rom For Android

so there is a certain section of the tech community that believes custom roms are dead. well, it's our genuine pleasure to report: nope, custom roms are still alive and kicking.

5 Reason Why You Need To Install Cutom Rom

1. No Blot & Crap Software

Unlike ios, Android is an open source project (AOSP) almost forked by all the brands to customize their respective devices; for example, Samsung uses AOSP to build and tweak make their own UI called One Ui, Oppo and Oneplus called colorOS and so on. If you notice a company installs some or the other unwanted things into your phone through an update or in partnership with Blot Software [company]! Some of them are easy to remove, and some can not. This blot uses system resources idly; simply uninstalling this app causes some or the other problem, whereas (AOSP) build or a custom room runs like a charm in your device with no additional application on installation or in any update, significantly improves the battery life and a better experience of your device.

2. Newer Android Versions

Android smartphone sales have been skyrocketing and more people are shifting to newer smartphones as you read this post. The new phones (and flagships) do get Android system and security patch updates for a set amount of time from their launch, but what after that? Also, what about the x-year old devices that no more get system updates from brands? What about those devices that got no major system update at all? brands don't want to focus of the midrange or older phone because they are focued to manufacture tons of new phone into the market, Custom ROMs save the day for all these devices,

3. Privacy & Security

You often heared about how company steals your data with out authorisation of the user and use them for their bussiness purpose (You know i know:) which raises the doubt as how much you should trust we user has to put into these. Google Android itself a platform which collect the user information and analytics from user for purpose of marketing and R&D, this put a question how safe is your Cutom ROM is? Most of this are proprietary software which is an available to the genral public user so you never know What’s happening inside. Whereas in the other hand (AOSP) is open-source means you can view whats inside the ROM and flag it if you see it fishy before even installing into your devices there are some really good ROM which are focused on the privacy and security of the user like, GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, LineageOS, /e/ OS, and CopperheadOS

4. Boredom No More

Custom ROMs Just add that sprinkle of spice to your Android experience. Face it, your phone is your most personal tech that you carry and interact with more than any other gadget. Seeing the same UI, the same animations, the same colors, the same overall software makes things boring. Of course, this doesn’t apply to every person, but we ran a private poll across the Android community, where more than 80% of people were bored with their phones after a short span of just 3 months, and we can’t blame them for this. Trying out custom firmware lets you get rid of that boredom. Beware though, once you get the hold of it, you’re going to flash ROMs after ROMs and turn yourself into a Flashmaniac. You’ve been warned!

5. More & Advanced Features

Custom ROMs have those features that you’ll probably see in stock Android in a couple of years from now. Believe it or not, custom ROMs have been the ‘source of inspiration’ for some awesome features that are now baked into AOSP and stock ROMs. Features like App-ops (app permission manager), dark mode & themes (from Substratum & CM theme engine), status bar customization, immersive mode control, heads-up control, notification light control, vibration strength control, capacitive button backlighting, and a lot of features were brought into stock ROMs after they were implemented into custom ROMs. In other words, (some) custom ROMs have more & advanced features than (some) stock ones, and features that still aren’t there on stock ones yet.

Here are some of the handful of custom ROMs that I have loved.
